Sing, smile, and celebrate: Intergenerational Christmas joy at 17 & Central
This festive season, the spirit of connection and community will take centre stage at 17 & Central as we welcome an Intergenerational Christmas Choir to spread joy through the power of song. On Friday, 13th December, from 10.45 to 11.15 am, our shopping centre will come alive with the sound of voices bridging generations and bringing festive cheer to all.
The magic of intergenerational singing
The choir is a heartwarming collaboration between local school children from Roger Ascham Primary School (aged 7–11) and residents from three nearby care homes. Together, they’ll sing a mix of classic carols and festive favourites, showcasing the beautiful bonds that music can create between people of all ages.
This special event is organised by The Together Project, a charity that fosters joyful intergenerational experiences to reduce loneliness and build stronger, happier communities. By bringing older people and children together, these events create lasting memories, spread joy, and highlight the value of connecting across generations.
