Your safety and comfort are our top priorities. To maintain a secure shopping environment, we kindly ask guests to follow a few important guidelines:
- This is private property. We reserve the right to refuse admission. For a comfortable experience for all, please be considerate of others and follow staff guidance at all times.
- Filming is not permitted unless it is for personal social media use. If you are filming in the centre, you may be approached and questioned by a security officer, who may ask to review the content captured. This is part of their duty to safeguard our guests, staff members, and the security of the building. We may, at our discretion, request that footage be deleted if it captures security features or individuals who do not wish to be filmed.
- No leafletting is allowed within the centre or outside the entrances, as it may pose a health and safety risk for our guests.
- We reserve the right to ask individuals to stop any unauthorised activity taking place within the centre’s demise, including car parks and land outside the entrances. Please follow staff guidance on boundary areas and restricted activities.
- No bikes, scooters, e-scooters, or roller-skating inside the centre.
- Dogs are not permitted, except for assistance dogs, which should be identifiable with a harness or jacket. If an assistance dog is not easily identifiable, our security team may request appropriate documentation.
- Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited inside the centre. If you wish to smoke or vape, please use the designated area on the first-floor balcony. Our entrances are also smoke-free zones, so please do not smoke or vape in front of them.
- Prohibited items include weapons, bladed items, controlled drugs and narcotics, and explosives.
Our security and customer service staff are always here to help, working from a state-of-the-art CCTV control room to ensure a safe environment for everyone. They remain vigilant and proactive, so don’t be surprised if they stop by to say hello or offer assistance.
We also work closely with local police, holding regular catch-ups and sharing information to enhance security efforts. Keeping our centre safe is a team effort, and you can play a part too—if you notice anything that feels suspicious or out of place, report it to a member of 17&Central security immediately.
