What’s Christmas without a brand-new book to read? There’s nothing better than curling up in the Twixmas period with a good book that’s been carefully chosen by a loved one. The Charlie Macksey book ‘Always Remember’, which is the follow-up to the bestselling ‘The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse’ is a gorgeous read for all ages while the new Jack Reacher novel ‘Exit Strategy’ is sure to feature on lots of Christmas lists. Both Waterstones and The Works have a wonderful selection of children’s books. ‘Jonty Gentoo’by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, ‘Santa & Son’ by David Walliams, ‘Mr Poirot: Mystery on the Nile by Roger Hargreaves and ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’, the 20th instalment in the popular Jeff Kinney’s series, are all top kids’ pick for this Winter.

Sweater weather
It’s official, it’s cold out there and who doesn’t love a cosy gift? The trend for fluffy socks doesn’t seem to be coming to an end any time soon, particularly with the teens, so check out the cute selection in River Island, Choice, Peacocks and TK Maxx. Scarves are still an essential fashion item and are of course, ideal for keeping out the cold, and we’ve seen some gorgeous ones throughout the centre.
