Celebrate World Book Day with us at 17&Central! We have a fun line‑up of activities for our young visitors:
📚 Play Central Story Sessions
The Play Central team will host lively, interactive book readings at the beginning of the 10am, 12pm, and 3pm sessions. Children are warmly invited to come dressed as their favourite book characters and join in the fun.👉 Book your Story Session here

📚✨Costume Swap
World Book Day is nearly here, and we're celebrating with a fun, eco‑friendly character costume swap designed for families who love stories, creativity, and sustainability. Instead of buying a brand‑new outfit, bring a gently‑used costume your child has outgrown and choose a new one for free — simple, sustainable, and full of community spirit.
It’s a great way to save money, reduce waste, and keep the excitement of World Book Day alive. Whether your little reader imagines themselves as a brave hero, a magical character, or someone from their latest favourite book, there’s always something new to discover.
How It Works
1. Bring Your Costume
Gather your child’s old book‑character costumes and bring them to Play Central in CRATE.
2. Donate & Swap
Drop off your gently‑used costume, browse the rail of donated outfits, and choose a new character look for free. It’s fun, sustainable, and perfect for World Book Day.
3. Spread the Word
Invite friends, family, and fellow book lovers to join the swap. Let’s celebrate imagination and community together!
