ROAR into Summer
Pack your explorer gear — 17&Central is about to bring the Jurassic to Walthamstow! In celebration of Jurassic World: Rebirth, we’re hosting a totally FREE dinosaur-themed activity that’s stomping into Centre Court every weekend from 26 July to 31 August.
Time: 11am - 4 pm (closed between 2-2.30pm)
Step into Centre Court for the Dinosaur Dig Adventure — a hands-on fossil hunt where children become real-life palaeontologists. Each 30-minute session can host just 10 kiddos, so hustle on over early to snag a spot! As kids uncover fossils and solve prehistoric puzzles, they'll earn a Junior Palaeontologist Certificate to take home.
Say Hello to the Baby Velociraptor ! Yes, you heard that right! Wrap up each session with a charming meet-and-greet with our cuddly baby Velociraptor puppet. Give him a snack, and take a wild guess at his name!
📸 Photo = Free Soft Play!
Children aged 0–7 who snap a selfie at the dig or with our life-size Dino displays can earn a free soft play session at Play Central in CRATE Walthamstow. Just post the photo to a parent’s public social media account, tag @17andcentral, and make sure the post is visible so we can spot it!

Dino Trail Challenge — Hunt down five sneaky Dino stickers lurking around the shopping centre. Complete your trail map and drop it off at Guest Services by Black Sheep Coffee to snag a chance at a roaring £100 gift voucher! The big draw happens on 5 September.
💚 Dig Deep for a Good Cause
This activity is completely free, but we’ll be inviting donations to our charity of the year — Samaritans. So please, dig deep and help us make a meaningful impact.
Fancy Dress Encouraged — but not required. We’d love to see some mini triceratops and roving raptors!
