We’re delighted to invite you to our next Sip & Chat with the Samaritans, taking place on Saturday 26th September 2026 from 12pm to 3pm, opposite CEX at 17&Central.
Over the past year, our Sip & Chat events have become a valued part of life at 17&Central. These welcoming gatherings bring together shoppers, retailers and local residents for a friendly afternoon of conversation, connection and community spirit. What many people enjoy most is the opportunity to take a break from their day, meet new faces, and catch up with the wonderful Samaritans volunteers in a relaxed and informal setting.

A Warm Welcome for Everyone

Many of our regular attendees have come to appreciate these catch-ups, which offer a chance to spend time in good company and get to know the friendly Samaritans volunteers who are always on hand with a warm smile and a listening ear. Whether you’re joining us for the first time or returning for another chat, everyone is welcome.

We are proud to continue our partnership with the Waltham Forest Samaritans, whose volunteers provide emotional support to anyone who may be struggling, feeling isolated, or simply in need of someone to listen. Their commitment to offering a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space has helped countless people through difficult times.
The power of a simple conversation should never be underestimated, and the Samaritans’ belief that listening can change lives is at the heart of every Sip & Chat event.
